Are you someone who loves to have the latest and greatest tech devices? If so, then you have probably considered the latest version of Apple’s iPhone, the iPhone 11, or maybe even the super advanced iPhone 11 Pro. Read on to hear how tech experts find this product to be working out.
The Reviews Are In:
Nilay Patel of The Verge online writes that, “The iPhone 11 is an excellent phone, with one of the best cameras I’ve ever seen on a smartphone and terrific battery life. Apple also dropped the price by 50 bucks: the iPhone XR started at $749, but the iPhone 11 starts at $699.”
Techradar Online writes that this version of the iPhone is one of the best values around for the improvements made. Gareth Beavis of Techradar goes on to state that, “The iPhone 11 – the successor to the iPhone XR – has gone from secondary handset to firmly taking the limelight. Offering most of the top-end camera technology of the powerful iPhone 11 Pro, it packs good specs and manages to do so for a lower cost than many would expect – this is the one to go for if you want a good value new iPhone.”
Is it For You?
Depending on your budget and how you use your smartphone, the iPhone11 and/or 11Pro may or may not be the best choice for you. Things to consider include: the increase in price, when your current contract is up, when you are you due for an upgrade, is your current smartphone giving you trouble, and your usage patterns.
Most reviews commend the improved camera with a zoom lens, wide lens and the new Night Mode. This might be enough to knock your socks off. But are you buying the phone for its camera? Consider your usage of your current smartphone. Do you just take selfies or do you use the camera capabilities to aid in your work?
The longer battery life will come as good news to the iPhone fans that suffered through the iPhone 6 version with its battery problems. Techradar did some research and found that, Apple claims that the battery life of the iPhone 11 is an hour longer than that of the impressive iPhone XR, and in our tests this largely bore out. They were able to get 24 hours’ use out of it without needing to try too hard – although sadly there’s no fast charger in the box, so if you do deplete the power pack you’ll need to wait around three hours before it’s fully juiced up.
With regard to your budget, consider that the iPhone 11 has more processing power under the hood and more capabilities when it comes to battery life and camera power, but yet it is being offered for less than the iPhone XR cost in 2018.
